Go Green--Summer Reading 2010
It is the question of the ages: what is going on with Summer Reading? Well, here is the answer...
Summer Reading 2010: Tuesday, July 6 through Friday, August 20.
How does it work?
You do the reading, we’ll help you along. Beginning Tuesday, July 6th. stop by the Children’s Department to pick up your reading log. This will help you track your reading, and it will also show you how hard you work over the summer!
Raffle
For every hour that you log, you can enter your name into a prize raffle for a chance to win prizes to various local shops. The more you read the better your chances are of winning one of the prizes.
Guessing Jar and Trivia
For a little extra fun the guessing jar and trivia are back. Every week it is something different and you can only put in your guesses if you’re here, so be sure to come in and take a shot at another prize!
Incentives
Make sure you come and check in with your librarians. We always love hearing what you’re reading and it helps us when you let us know what you like and don’t like. In return we’ll have some cool swag for you to choose from.
Programming
We are booked solid—if you’re bored this summer, then you haven’t been to the library. We have events Monday through Friday during the seven-week Summer Reading Program, and you’ll find all of the details on the following pages. Most events are drop-in, but a few require registration so make sure you check first. We can’t wait to see you!
If you give a kid a challenge then she’s going to want a party to go with it...
